Speaker 1:

Thank you. Hello guys, welcome to another fabulous episode of Fan Faces Plus with your boy, amadou amadou the great. Today I'm here to talk, talk to you guys about, uh, my experience out to the buffalo bills, our neighborhood team, our local team here in rochester, new york and western new york buffalo bills. Uh, we hope to have big things happen, but yesterday I went out and watched the last pre-season game before they change it to next year's only two preseason games and 18 regular season games. So come on down, help us, come along on this journey with me and I'll tell you some of the interesting facts and information that I got from yesterday's occasion. So I'll jump off the top here. Thank you for everybody that's listening, thank you for everybody that continues to listen, and I appreciate everybody that's still a fan of mine that's going to continue to patronize my podcast, fan Faces Plus. I'm happy that you're coming along on this journey with me, because when we make it big, not if when we make it big I know you were there along with me on this journey. So let's go.

Speaker 1:

Yesterday I went to the Buffalo Bills last preseason game against the Panthers, the Carolina Panthers. I'm also a fan of the Panthers. I was a fan of the Panthers when they had Cam Newton, but now I have no loyalty to any one team. My loyalty lies with the players, because I play fantasy football and yesterday we went to Buffalo to start it off. I purchased my tickets on Ticketmaster and Vivid Entertainment Seats helped me purchase my ticket. But they sell basic. When you go to go buy tickets football event tickets they sell them by the twos, so you could only buy two tickets at a time, not one at a time. So I purchased two tickets. I took my son with me. You'll see him in the videos, in the videos of the, in the videos of the event that I recorded and the videos that I recorded while at the game. You'll see him there. He will be sitting with me. He's the one that recorded me for my commentary while the game was going on.

Speaker 1:

But I purchased two tickets and each ticket has a transaction fee. What is a transaction fee? Why is there a transaction fee? I don't get it. I think it's a bunch of hooey. But for each ticket there's like a $7 transaction fee. I ended up paying the tickets I believe were like $22, $22, $23,. A $7 transaction fee ended up taking me all the way up to $60 plus tax, so $62 total for the tickets.

Speaker 1:

And then I'm like I've never gone to a game. So typically, if you've never gone to a game, you want to do the safest thing possible. And the safest thing possible in my mind was let me pay for parking as well while I'm here. And I came to find out that there's also a transaction fee for parking and these are not covered.

Speaker 1:

Parking lots, it's not like in a parking garage, it's just you know a lot where they have lots of space for people to park, for cars to park. It's open, it's outside. And when I got there, I was like they charged me an extra $16 for a transaction fee for me to pay for parking and I didn't really care much for that. I feel like I mean, it's an awesome experience, but the way they go about it, they're really bamboozling the customers. But it is an awesome experience, but they're trying to gouge you out of every single penny in every single way. You can't take food inside the stadium and I was just you can't take food. You can't take anything inside the stadium because they have people that check your bags while you know. While you're in the stadium, they have people that check your bags as you're trying to enter into the stadium.

Speaker 1:

I had purchased electronic tickets so it was easy. All I had to do was show them my phone and they scanned it electronically and both my son and I were able to gain entrance into the football game Once we got in. We walked in, walked towards our section, sat down. But the people let me backtrack, the people that live near the stadium they make a killing. So they're like you know, you could park in my parking spot, you could park at my house for 40 cash only. So people like that to steal, because if you're paying for a parking ticket for almost I mean a parking ticket in the state near the stadium or with in the state within the stadium is 60, costs you 64 and that's a bit too much. It's a bit wild seeing as the the teams make money off of tv revenue, commercial revenue, licensing fees of uh showing the games on different channels, and commercial revenues, local commercial revenue and licensing fees that the NFL give them. So these teams make a killing.

Speaker 1:

Pre-season, post-season. Pre-season they make a killing. Regular season they make a killing. Post-season they make an even bigger killing because they probably can increase the amount you pay for parking because now, these are special games and the more home games you have, the more they could charge for them, because they're like these are special games, these are games to take us to the playoff and take us to the um, take us to the what's it called to the championship games. So I I spent the money and I was just like that's pretty interesting that you know people that live near the stadium that they could charge you $40 cash. Take advantage of your circumstances, that you are in, which is pretty cool. I mean, it's an awesome thing because it's tax-free when you charge somebody $40 to park in your driveway for four hours or so and it's basically $10 an hour.

Speaker 1:

But we ended up leaving at halftime and there was still traffic. We left at halftime because we're trying to avoid traffic, but we still ran into traffic. We left the stadium at around 2.30, didn't get home until almost 4.30. It was an hour drive but because of the traffic it ended up taking us two hours to get back home. But it was productive. It was a productive day spent. We didn't buy anything at the concessions in the stadium. We bought something out of it once we left. But it was an interesting experience. I'll put the videos in for you guys to watch and, uh, you guys can leave in the comments down below on tiktok, on youtube and on facebook. You guys can leave in the comment section how you know, how you enjoyed my commentary and how you enjoyed the experience coming along with me. Well, uh guys, I thank you and here's the video. I don't need your money. No To me, I have no way. Then I made a Thank you.
