Speaker 1:

Hello guys, how are you doing today, on this fine day? My name is Amadou. Amadou the Great. Welcome to Fan Faces. Plus A new name and a new way of thinking, and we're looking to hit the ground running.

Speaker 1:

Hit a whole bunch of topics that we weren't too flexible on in past episodes, but we're going to do them justice. Moving forward, we're going to talk about a little bit of politics, a little bit of pop culture, a little bit of sports. We're going to mix it all in man. It's going to be great. You out there that's watching this, that's listening to every episode that we're doing, please share, like tell a friend to tell a friend, and make sure that you leave a comment if you have any questions about any of the topics that I jump into today. All right, some of the topics that I will be jumping into you got the NBA Conference Championships, the Eastern Division versus the Western Division, and you got Puff Daddy and the family, everything that's going on with them, and you got also Congress, the Republican side of it, anyways, all that's going on with them. Yes, I'm a little bit biased there, but don't be afraid I'll be completely fair. Biased but fair. All right, let me jump into these topics.

Speaker 1:

First topic at hand got the Western Conference Finals going on between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves the stars in these games. You got Kyrie Irving, you got Luka Doncic that's from the Dallas Mavericks. Then you've got Anthony Edwards, you've got Carl Anthony Towns, you've got Rudy Gobert Defensive Player of the Year. Rudy Gobert, anthony Edwards and Carl Anthony Towns just came off of a fresh Game 7 win over the defending champions, the Denver Nuggets, and they beat them, I mean, I'd say, easily. It seemed like they were going to win because the way the second half started there they were imposing their will defensively and offensively. Shots were falling. Carl Anthony Towns was playing his game, anthony Edwards was playing his game, rudy Gobert was blocking shots, was putting shots in sinking threes. It was a pretty good game.

Speaker 1:

But for the people out there that didn't believe in the Timberwolves winning, I thought they had a pretty good chance because for you to come into the defending champ's home, beat them handily twice, in blowout fashion, two times. You know that had to send shockwaves through the league and for me I felt that those wins depicted what was going to happen, the trend that was going to take place, moving forward and as it was shown last night, on Sunday. That went very well for them. The Sembawolves came through, showed out and did their thing. They played offensive basketball. Well, everybody did what they were supposed to do their jobs and on the defensive side, they crashed the boards and they played team defense. They stopped the nuggets and they stomped nuggets. They stomped them out. Basically, they gave them no shot at all for coming in as a defending champ and I mean that's a shock to most people. But I don't believe that should be a shock to most people.

Speaker 1:

The reason being, to repeat as a champion is pretty hard. You come in and you're like, okay, I'm going to take it easy, I'm not going to give it all my effort, while everybody else is giving you 110% and if they beat you it's a big deal. But if you beat them it's not a big deal. And this is a wake-up call of sorts for Djokic. You didn't win this year and you probably thought you know I can go back and repeat. I'm, you know, the league's MVP. And if I'm the league's MVP, I mean I could turn it on whenever I want, and that wasn't the case. You can't turn it on whenever you want. You turned it on a little too late and your team lost. And now your team's going to Cancun Bye-bye.

Speaker 1:

So you know, the Timberwolves came in. They came in with a game plan and they executed. They stopped Gordon from doing what he wanted to do and all the role players with the Nuggets. They didn't do that well. But what are you going to do? Pack your bags, go to Cancun, go on vacation and get rehabbed up and get ready for next season whenever the season starts. But the team that I'm surprised to see in the Western Conference Championship I mean, they're good. But Kyrie, without LeBron he hadn't done much.

Speaker 1:

So I wasn't expecting Kyrie and Luka Doncic to do much further, even make it to the conference championships, and they did. And that's kudos to them and kudos to their you know, playing well together, kyrie. You know he's around a talented Luka Doncic and I guess that helps his game, because he doesn't have to. You know, he doesn't have to be the main reason why they win. He can do what he does to be the main reason why they win. He can do what he does and that is just enough for him to. You know, that's just enough for him and the team to escape on by and make it to the conference championship. Luka Doncic played his game. He's a talented offensive weapon. He did his thing and that's how come they ended up in this position that they're in, which is pretty cool.

Speaker 1:

Kyrie could get an opportunity to win a ring without LeBron James, which would cement his legacy as one of the great guards of our time. I always thought Kyrie was an awesome, awesome player, awesome ball handler. I never thought that he could carry a team and he hasn't, but he plays a great role as a number two which helped catapult the Dallas Mavericks to the Western Conference Championships. All right, let's go on to the Eastern side. The Eastern side you got the Boston Celtics, jason Tatum and company, and you got the Indiana Pacers, tyree Halliburton and company, and that's. You know, that's an awesome matchup really.

Speaker 1:

Tyree Halliburton he's with Coach Rick Carlisle, who has championship pedigree, who has won a championship before, so he could definitely lead a team towards a championship run, but you know, they don't have that squad that they had. They don't have the squad. Carlisle doesn't have the squad that he had when he won the championship with Dirk Nowitzki. Tyrese Halliburton is a star, but he's not quite there yet. So the Boston Celtics may have a game on their hands due to coaches having playoff experience, having championship experience. But when it's all said and done, the Boston Celtics have more talent than the Indiana Pacers. So in that particular position it's going to be a tough series. They may even go to seven, but Boston may come out ahead, and you know that's just how I see the cookie crumbling. But let's go back to the Timberwolves. I do believe the Timberwolves can make it to the NBA championship as well, because the way they're playing when they're on offensively, they're on Defensively, they always try, but offensively, when they're on offensively, they're on Defensively, they always try, but offensively when they're on and they can put those two together. They're definitely a championship caliber and I believe if the Timberwolves are to face the Boston Celtics, it might be a tough game for Boston. It might be a tough series for Boston.

Speaker 1:

All right, let's get on to the next topic at hand. Here we got Puff Daddy, diddy, brother Love. A tape recently came out of him abusing his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. There was a lawsuit, he settled and he said oh, you know all the things that they're saying about me, that I did absolutely not. True, it's not me, I would never do such things. But, bro, the tape is out Now. You're very remorseful. You should have faced this thing head on to start with. They put out the tape so that you could face social justice. And it's not looking good for you. Yes, you can apologize, but you're going to have to give the public some time.

Speaker 1:

That tape looked brutal. If it was up to me I'd say take the keys, throw that boy in the clinker, take the keys and lock him away for good. But it's not up to me. And the crazy thing is that abuse charge has passed its statutes of limitation. So, due to the laws of the land, puffy's not going to jail. He's not in charge for nothing. The only thing that could happen is he, you know, loses corporate sponsorships, corporate partnerships and people just back away from him and he fades into the black. He fades into black and for the rest of his life he's living in obscurity. That's the only thing that could happen to him. But I'm sure he has enough money stashed away and he has enough companies underneath him that would stick with him for him to be okay for the rest of his life and he has enough music, catalogs and things that he's invested in to maintain his lifestyle. But this is not looking good at all in the court of public opinion. They're not paying us, but we're here to put our two cents in and my two cents.

Speaker 1:

That video looked brutal. Man. If they told you he did that, it's a different thing versus you seeing what he did. You seeing what he did changes the whole story. It made me I mean, my jaw dropped. I was like God damn, that thing is scary. How could he do that? Wow, bro. But that's the thing. When you get to a position of having enough money to be able to get away with anything, you use that money to get away with everything.

Speaker 1:

This tape wouldn't have came out hadn't had his house not been houses not been raided. The tape came out because his house was raided, because the initial story was that, um, he had, uh, he had paid security to buy the tape off of them so that the tape will never see the light of day. Any smart guy would have taken that tape, destroyed it and never, ever let it see the light of day. But you know guy would have taken that tape, destroyed it and never, ever let it see the light of day. But you know, when you have lots of money and you're like I paid 50 grand for this. I can't pay for anything else to not happen to me, and I mean living with that mindset can't be good for you, as you can see, because the court of public opinion is Pissed off at you right now.

Speaker 1:

Puff Daddy, brother love, you got 50 Cent running out here like a madman just making fun of you, left right upside down, which is crazy. And then, to top it off, your son, his son, puff Daddy's son, brother love's son, puts out a what's it called a diss track against 50 Cent. You better leave 50 Cent alone, man. He has nothing to lose. He doesn't even like his own son. You better leave 50 Cent alone, man. He has nothing to lose. He doesn't even like his own son. So you better leave 50 Cent alone if you want to have a good time in your life. He doesn't even like his own son. So leave 50 Cent alone.

Speaker 1:

All right, let's touch into a little bit of politics here. You got Congress Sessions turning out to be what's it called? Turning out to be like you're in a set of Mean Girls. You got Marjorie Taylor Greene just trying to insult anybody as much as possible. It's my right, it's my freedom of speech to say whatever I want. However, I want. That's not true. It's your right. Sure, it's your right. But whatever you say, you have to suffer the consequences of the things that you say.

Speaker 1:

All right, you can't just go around telling people that you know their eyelashes are getting in the way or they're this, they're that, engaging in what they call personalities, and you know you don't do that. When they do the same thing to you, you're like well, how dare you? You shouldn't do that to me, because I'm above it all. Now. You can't be going around doing that. You can't be going around talking down to people. You can't be going around talking bad about people and expecting nothing to happen to you, whether it's words or violence. Something's going to happen.

Speaker 1:

And for people in Congress to be behaving the way you are behaving, marjorie Taylor Greene, it's insane. You need to be courteous. You need to show people a little bit of respect, like they show you. If they disrespect you, then fine, go at them. But if they don't disrespect you, stop disrespecting people. Stop getting in people's.

Speaker 1:

What's it called? Stop trying to stick it to people. What's it called? Stop trying to stick it to people, because you know you're Donald Trump. What's it called? You're Donald Trump. You're Donald Trump ally, you feel that you could say whatever you want, however you want, and there's no consequences.

Speaker 1:

Only Trump really gets away with it. Even now, though, he's not really getting away with it. He's stuck in courtrooms, stuck in trials, spending a lot of money, getting taught a lesson the American way, and the only way Americans know how to teach you a lesson is to take your money away and punish you that way, or put you in what's it called and what's it called, and put you in courtrooms and have you spend money, money, money until you run out of money. So, marjorie Taylor Greene, leave people alone. Stop getting into personalities with people and talking bad about them and expecting nothing. I mean expecting for them not to get back at you. Now, when they called you a bleach, blonde, butch, built body woman, all of a sudden, that went viral, and that's not a good look for you. That's not. You know what you want to represent out there. You are supposed to be the example. Set an example for your constituents. Set an example for your audience. Stop talking bad about people. Respect people so people can respect you back, so you can be looked up as a looked up at, looked up at, looked up at, looked up as a role model All right For Fan Faces Plus.
